Simultaneous Estimation Of Telmisartan And Hydrochlorothiazide In Pharmaceutical Dosage Form

Abstract

A simple, accurate, fast, and precise simultaneous analytical method has been developed for the simultaneous determination of Telmisartan and Hydrochlorothiazide in tablet dosage form. The wavelengths selected for these drugs were 296 nm and 270 nm, respectively. The linearity at the selected wavelength lies between 2–10 μg/ml for Telmisartan and 4–20 μg/ml for Hydrochlorothiazide. The concentrations of these drugs were evaluated in a laboratory mixture of reference standards and different marketed formulations. Recovery studies confirmed the accuracy of the proposed method. The precision of the method was within acceptable limits. The proposed method and results were validated as per ICH guidelines. Statistical analysis proves that the method is reproducible and selective for the simultaneous estimation of Telmisartan and Hydrochlorothiazide.
