Open Access Policy
AJPHS is an open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author.
Meaning of Open Access
AJPHS defines Open Access as digital content which is freely available online AND user rights and the terms of copyright are defined.
AJPHS Articles can be shared under a Creative Commons CC-BY 4.0 license, which means:
You are free to:
- Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format for any purpose, even commercially.
- Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, even commercially.
- The licensor cannot revoke these freedoms as long as you follow the license terms.
Under the following terms:
- Attribution — You must give appropriate credit , provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made . You may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the licensor endorses you or your use.
- No additional restrictions — You may not apply legal terms or technological measures that legally restrict others from doing anything the license permits.
Copyright and Licensing
Authors retain the copyright of their work, with first publication rights granted to the Journal.
Authors contributing to AJPHS agree to publish their articles under a Creative Commons CC-BY 4.0 license, allowing third parties to copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format, and to remix, transform, and build upon the material, for any purpose, even commercially, under the condition that appropriate credit is given, that a link to the license is provided, and that you indicate if changes were made.
Permissions
No special permission is required for authors to submit their research to external repositories. This policy extends to all versions of a paper, including its submitted, accepted, and published forms.
Archiving policy
AJPHS is enabled with the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) and utilizes preservation systems supported through the journal's publishing platform to facilitate the long-term digital preservation of published content.
These preservation arrangements are intended to maintain permanent archival copies of journal content and support the preservation, accessibility, and restoration of published articles in the event that content becomes unavailable from the journal's primary website.
Repository / Self archiving Policy
AJPHS permits and encourages authors to self-archive their articles in institutional repositories, subject-specific repositories, or other repositories of their choice, including repositories listed in the Directory of Open Access Repositories (OpenDOAR).
Authors may deposit the following versions of their manuscripts without requiring prior permission from the journal:
- Submitted Version (Preprint): The version originally submitted to AJPHS before peer review.
- Accepted Version (Author Accepted Manuscript): The final author-created version accepted for publication following peer review and revision, before journal copyediting, typesetting, and final formatting.
- Published Version (Version of Record): The final published version of the article as it appears on the AJPHS website.
No embargo period applies to the self-archiving of any of these versions.
When depositing the Version of Record, authors are encouraged to include the complete bibliographic citation, DOI, and a link to the article on the AJPHS website.
Published articles remain subject to the journal's Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) License, which permits sharing and reuse provided appropriate attribution is given.
