Abstract:

The pharmacovigilance science (PV or PhV) is known as drug safety and is all about identifying, detecting, assessing, monitoring, and avoiding drug side effects. Pharmacovigilance is focused with identifying potential risks connected with pharmaceutical goods and decreasing the risk of patient harm. The present review has been done to understand the advances in pharmacovigilance programme in India and to be aware of the limitations in this area so that efforts can be made to overcome this and ensure greater levels of patient safety.
